AGL is looking for a Pumper/Filler to join the team. The Pumper accurately and safely fills cylinders with applicable gas or liquid gas based on customer orders, forecasted demand or to maintain appropriate inventory levels to ensure AGL customers receive product as ordered in a timely fashion.

Incumbents work with a variety of different gases and liquids that convert to gas and are typically assigned specific gases to pump. Gases include propane, propylene, Nitrous Oxide (N2O), carbon dioxide, liquid nitrogen/oxygen/argon, oxygen.

Some of the essential responsibilities include:

  • Fill pre-checked cylinders by pumping assigned gas or liquid gas in accordance with customer requirements as indicated on the delivery ticket. Operate designated pumping equipment and following all safety procedures and regulations.
  • Prep tanks to be filled to ensure tank is in proper working condition to receive designated gas.
  • Troubleshoot problems by adjusting control room equipment or instructing other personnel to adjust equipment at problem locations or in other control areas.
  • Take samples of gases and conduct chemical tests to determine gas quality, purity or moisture content. Submit medical gases to lab technician for purity testing and analysis.
  • Complete paperwork for medical and food grade gases to indicate lot number. Complete and maintain other paperwork as required.
  • Bring cylinders to specified lots to be loaded on route trucks for delivery.

Requirements:

  • Maintain a neat, orderly and safe work area by keeping plant clean and free of spills or debris, and following prescribed safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools
  • Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
  • Perform basic math functions, monitor and read pressure gauges, take temperatures

The AGL Industrial Collector position is responsible for the collection, and customer service of their assigned accounts. The assigned accounts range anywhere from 600-1,000 accounts, and are assigned alphabetically by branch.

This position is responsible for the ongoing review, and monitoring of their accounts, specifically delinquent accounts that are beyond their terms and credit limit. This position requires the initiation of contacting customers by calling, emailing, and sending letters to ensure payments are made within terms/credit limit, as well as maintaining appropriate computer and customer records/dunning notes, and releasing of orders as needed and/or warranted. AGL is looking for an EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES SUPERVISOR to start immediately in our Clifton, NJ location.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing a preventive maintenance program within the confines of an annual budget and in line with safety and compliance regulations. This includes all heating and electrical as well as cryogenic bulk tank systems and installations, cryogenic cylinders, and plant equipment to include compressors, manifolds and fill systems. Responsible for building maintenance and repairs, maintaining property grounds, maintenance and repair of customer manifolds, and installation of Bulk Systems.

  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance program for heating and electrical systems, bulk tanks, cryogenic cylinders, and plant equipment to include compressors, manifolds and fill systems.
  • Schedule, monitor, track and report on in-house and external maintenance activity. Order and maintain inventory of spare parts fittings, spare pumps, can parts. Maintain inventory of all bulk tanks in storage for future use.
  • Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment to identify maintenance issues. Prepares estimates and secures the financial and people resources to conduct repairs and oversee service providers to ensure work is completed on time, within budget and in conformance to AGLs quality standards.
  • Perform light, routine maintenance and repairs of building; coordinate and oversee services such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC for Clifton buildings and AGL’s Route 46 tenants on an ongoing basis.
  • Conduct site reviews at AGL and customer locations: document and photograph all aspects of individual bulk stations
  • Provide technical expertise, assistance and troubleshooting support to customers and AGL staff.
  • Service customer owned manifolds, bulk tanks and equipment rented from AGL.
  • Oversee Customer bulk installations and communicate to sales and customer on project progress. Activities include but are not limited to acquiring equipment and coordinating the entire project.
  • Assist sales staff: Act as a technical resource for the sales staff with developing equipment specifications for customer installations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Working knowledge of plumbing, mechanical and/or electrical concepts and techniques
  • Working knowledge of DOT, FDA and OSHA regulations
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, piping and instrument diagrams.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math at the high school level.
  • Must be a basic user of the following computer programs: Outlook, Work, Excel, Powerpoint,
  • Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
  • An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in production maintenance, manufacturing, gas or similar industry
  • Position required to hold a valid driver’s license without restrictions
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills: soldering, refrigeration, pipe fitting
